Bon Voyage!

Just wishing my parents a happy trip to Australia to visit my little sister, Sue Bucket! Have a blast, parentals and lioth!!!

Crickey, mate!

(And just so you know I haven’t fallen off the baking horse…coming up on posts: Rye and Pumpernickel bread, Early Morning Caramels, Uppakra cookies, Drunk Berry Jello, how to make a Cornucopia, more purse ideas, and probably some Jensen Family Recipes for T-givin’!)

Enjoy! (And I promise I’ll post those things real soon!)

Hi family and friends!

The reason I’ve started this blog is to document some of my recipes and home projects. It’s not only a way for me to share what I’ve been up to with all of you, but also an excellent way to electronically document and organize everything I do!

Now for you non-science folk, I’m going to warn you that on top of sharing all of my homemaker ventures, I’d also like to share some of my favorite science news, whether it be journal articles or community reaction to scientific discovery.

Since I’ve moved into an awesome 2bdrm apartment with Dr. Joe in mid-July, I’ve been building up my reputation with him as Heather HomeMaker. So far most of my HHM adventures have been in the kitchen…I’ve made several loaves of bread, a spicy dark chocolate ganache torte, and banana-chocolate muffins with fluffy ganache frosting. But I’ve also made a purse (inspired by The Little Mermaid’s pink bag) and I’ve had several attempts at making yogurt. I’ll be playing catch-up on posting those recipes and the purse pattern in the next few days, but I’ll do my best to get those out before the weekend is up!

Amore e pace!
