It’s my favorite produce season! We have all sorts of amazing goodies at our disposal, and sometimes the simplest preparation is the best way to enjoy them.
Today, I’m featuring the peach. Packed with sugar just waiting to be caramelized. So of course I had to grill them! Aaaand drizzle with honey and sprinkle with sliced almonds. Simple. Nutritious. Delicious.
Directions: Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. Prepare one peach for each serving. Heat a grill pan over medium to medium-high heat and spray with non-stick spray. Once heated through, place the peaches on the grill, skin-side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes on the skin side, until the skin is charred and just beginning to split.
Turn the peaches over and grill on the flesh side and do not disturb for 2-3 minutes. By not disturbing the peach, you’ll get beautiful grill marks. After the first 2-3 minutes, turn the peach halves 90 degrees. This will give you the criss-cross grill mark. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes without disturbing.
Serve up on a plate drizzled with a little honey and a pinch of sliced almonds.
